Students: Directors of Christian camps
Required level of education: High or middle specialty
Applicant requirements:
- At least 25 years of age
- At least 5 years membership in an evangelical church
- At least 5 years work experience in Christian camping, including at least 3 years as a camp director
- Pastor's recommendation
- Successful passing of an entrance exam on fundamentals of camp ministry
- Membership in CCI/Russia
- Past participation in at least one Christian Camping Leaders' Conference (CCLC) and one regional Staff Training Workship (STW)
- Payment of registration fee
Structure of study:
- Three sessions: Fall - 1 week; Spring - 2 weeks; Fall - 1 week
- Summer practicum between the second and third sessions - 1 week
Length of course: 1 year
Overall program length: 344 hours (14 credit hours in the European system)
Degree awarded: Upon completion of the program, a professional diploma will be awarded.
Classes:
- Session 1 - Foundations of Camp Ministry, The Role of a Camp Director, The Mission and Purposes of Camp, Developing and Managing Camper Behavior, Camp Site and Facilities, Camp Program and Schedule
- Session 2 - Camp Marketing, Budgeting and Finances, Risk Management, Food Service, Health & Safety and First Aid, Staff Relations
- Summer Practicum - Consultation/analysis of a sister camp
- Session 3 - Interpersonal Communication, Strategic Planning, Fundraising, Camp Work Evaluation
THE RESULT of study in the course: Students will receive both theoretical knowledge and practical experience, equipping them to serve as a Christian camp director.
